The Relationship between Hand Dexterity with Hand Grip Strength in Young Males

Background: Hand dexterity a measure of hand flexibility and coordination can be affected by many factorsincluding grip strength. However, there are limited studies data about the association between handdexterity strength in Asian population. Hence, we aim to investigate relationship healthy males aged 18 25 years old population.Methods: Fiftyhealthy adult male participants 18-25 were recruited advertisement.Hand gripstrength test using handheld dynamometer Purdue pegboard test, respectively wasmeasured. consisted two main parts: 1. Inserting pins into holes usingleft, right, both hands 30 seconds. 2. Assembly pins, collars, washers one minute. Pearsoncorrelation coefficient regression analysis was used study handgrip strength.Results: The results showed no correlation left, right combined with (p value = 0.481 r 0.099, p 0.181 0.188, value= 0.945 value=0.009) respectively.
